About Score My Art
A place for artists to get clearer, kinder, more useful feedback.
I'm Jason Horejs, owner of Xanadu Gallery and founder of the Art Business Academy. Score My Art grew out of years of working directly with artists who want to strengthen their work, build confidence, and understand how their art is connecting with others.
The origin
The idea came from real artist conversations.
In 2014, I founded the Art Business Academy, a learning platform for artists who want to get into galleries and better market their art. Through the Academy, I have the opportunity to interact directly with artists, review their marketing materials, answer questions about approaching galleries, and often provide feedback on their artwork.
One of the most valuable parts of that work has been our weekly question-and-answer sessions. In some of those sessions, members share their art and receive feedback from one another. Those conversations are consistently popular because they happen in a nurturing environment where artists know one another, can be honest, and are trying to help.
Seeing how hungry artists are for that kind of feedback inspired Score My Art: an online platform built to make constructive artist-to-artist feedback more accessible.
Growth over judgment
Score My Art is not meant to make artists feel criticized or judged. It is designed to help artists keep improving through steady, structured peer feedback.
Technique, creativity, impact
Feedback is centered around qualities artists can learn from: technical skill, creativity and originality, and emotional impact.
Community matters
Artists often work in isolation. Score My Art is being built as a place to see diverse work, exchange ideas, and feel connected to other artists.
How artists participate
Your participation helps shape the platform.
Artists are already helping Score My Art become more useful by sharing their work, scoring thoughtfully, and sending practical feedback. One artist asked for a way to see more detail in uploaded artwork, so we added magnification. Others suggested ways to surface more useful review information.

A clear promise
Peer feedback, not AI critique.
Score My Art is not AI critique, and it is not a professional gallery review. It is peer feedback from other artists.
The platform includes safeguards to discourage trolling and encourage helpful feedback. It takes courage to upload artwork, and we want artists at every level to feel invited to participate.
My hope is that Score My Art becomes a practical, encouraging place where every artist can track progress, find inspiration, and keep improving.
