Pamela Gleave is an award‑winning artist and photographer from Lansing, Michigan, known for her distinctive blend of scientific illustration, natural history art, and experimental photomicrography www.pamgleave.com. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, Anthropology, and Art from the University of Olivet, with a Biology minor, and has maintained a long‑standing interest in entomology that has deeply influenced her artistic practice.

Gleave is an active member of the North American Butterfly Association, conducting yearly national butterfly counts and weekly counts for the Michigan Butterfly Network. She rears luna moths and has led a grant‑funded study sampling moths from cedar swamps near her home, amassing a collection of 350 identified species

One of her most celebrated recent projects is photomicrography — capturing the re‑crystallized forms of chemicals, beer, wine, and household substances like aspirin, cinnamon, and cream of tartar.
